This medium blue lapis has come out slightly darker in the image, but it is of a fine quality with delicate golden pyrite inclusions.

This blood red garnet is great for vitality. It is a stone of romantic love and passion and has long been associated with friendship. It is an enhancer of sensuality and sexuality.

Here we have coupled the rich red garnet with clear quartz which aids clarification of purpose and helps to harmonise and balance energies.

Rutilated quartz is quartz crystal with inclusions that create a variety of different coloured striations. The inclusions in this slightly milky quartz are a greeny brown and add wonderful earth tones to the piece. I have spoken with a variety of mineral experts and they all agreed that nobody is ever certain as to which minerals and chemicals create any particular colour of rutilation. Here it could be tourmaline or maybe even pyrite.

Pyrite is associated with the need for courage and the inner strength to fight against adversity. It deflects negative vibes sent from others and is great for psychic defence.

Coupled with the soft nurturing of moonstone and earth/nature tones of the rutilated quartz I see this piece as a strong healer for anyone who is caring for others in difficult circumstances. I would give this piece to Lynette in Desperate Housewives because she needs all of its strength to cope with her difficult children, stand up to those who try and put her down and maintain the love she feels for them all.
